the
all-new Yahoo Maps has a
next-generation web based flash
interface that has some major
improvements over it's previous
version. It is very interactive
and functional.
Here are some of the new features
added: Click and drag is now enabled, Multi-point
driving directions, go from point a to b, then from
there on to point c, and Yahoo Local is now integrated.
A little grey box in the upper right hand corner is a
representation of the bigger map and is itself
drag-able, Use it to move all around quickly without
losing your bearings. There is an address auto-complete
from your Yahoo address book. The new Yahoo Maps are also easy to
bookmark.
The new slick
interface and functionality of
Yahoo Maps sets a new standard
for online maps. We tested the
usability on both Macs and PC's,
both worked flawlessly
on the
default browsers. (IE6 in
Windows, and Safari on Mac OSX)
We tested it in Firefox, and it
worked good too. Overall, the
bar has been raised again, and
Yahoo Maps com is certainly worth a
test-drive.
